A four-time winner of ASCAP’s Young Jazz Composer award, Reynolds has played with some of the best musicians in jazz, but honed his style performing with singer-songwriters like Jonah Smith, Nellie McKay, and John Mayer. Incorporating influences as diverse as John Coltrane, James Brown, and Radiohead, Reynolds’ songs—and stunning solos—produce music that is focused, energetic, and groove-heavy.
